Perry has over 17 years of experience in the electric energy industry with more than three years of service at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and nine years of operations and policy development experience at California ISO (CAISO). Mr. Servedio has led the design, consideration, and stakeholder review of resource adequacy policy, congestion revenue rights market, day-ahead market, and real-time market reforms. While at the CAISO, Mr. Servedio worked extensively on resource adequacy policy and implementation making substantial changes to the way resources could count toward meeting reliability obligations, the way resources were expected to perform in the operational horizon, and the way CAISO procured and settled backstop capacity. Perry has directly served Community Choice Aggregations (CCAs) on strategic supply, risk management, resource adequacy, and resource reviews in recent years. He currently serves as the lead CPUC Resource Adequacy and Integrated Resource Planning advisor to California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA). In the Pacific Northwest, he has assisted public power clients and utilities evaluate the CAISO Extended Day-Ahead Market (EDAM) and Western Resource Adequacy Program (WRAP) design and determine the benefits/risks the program places on their organizations. He has further served those clients throughout their EDAM and WRAP implementation efforts.
