Brian brings nearly 20 years of Northwest utility industry experience in power portfolio strategy including load forecasting, integrated resource planning, energy risk management, and rate design. Prior to joining GDS, Brian served as Chief Energy Resource Officer at Eugene Water & Electric Board, where he led power supply planning and wholesale trading operations for one of the Pacific Northwest’s most sophisticated consumer-owned utilities. He also held senior roles at Snohomish County PUD and the City of Richland, Washington. Brian is particularly recognized for his melded expertise in resource planning and ratemaking – including Bonneville Power Administration rate cases – and brings deep relationships across the Northwest utility community.
