Claudiu Cadar has over 25 years of experience in the electric power industry, including both domestic and foreign expertise in the areas of transmission line and substation design, managing design engineering activities and power system studies.
Claudiu joined GDS in 2009 and has been involved with a wide range of transmission planning activities, transmission access and interconnection issues, generation and transmission interconnections, reliability studies and compliance with the NERC standards, regulatory filings, electric tariffs and contracts, energy market and asset registration, and control area operations.
He has assisted GDS clients with transitioning and integration to RTO market operation, qualifying transmission facilities, providing technical support throughout the planning, construction and commissioning stages of several generation resources and transmission projects, supported review and development of transmission policies, has offered expert testimony and representation before different bodies.
