EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Minor in Business), Auburn University

Braxton has over two decades of experience in the electric utility consulting industry. His project experience includes arc flash hazard analysis, PV/Solar distributed generation design, underground and overhead distribution system design, system modeling, load flow analysis, sectionalizing, and overcurrent protection. His expertise also includes power quality investigations and analysis of distributed generation interconnection on electric distribution systems. Braxton provides system planning expertise to his clients and has completed numerous RUS long range plans, construction work plans, substation justification studies, and system mapping projects. Braxton has experience assisting utilities with AMI meter evaluations, loss reduction, and power factor correction.

Braxton has also done extensive work at numerous military bases, which includes an inventory and evaluation of the overhead and underground electrical transmission and distribution systems and the valuation of those assets for Utility Privatization efforts, and ongoing consulting services including contract management, proposal development, engineering studies, and negotiation assistance.

Braxton is a registered Professional Engineer in GA, AL, FL, IL and KS.
