“A professor of mine once said ‘We’ve never had an energy crisis…we’ve only had energy availability crises.’ To address availability start with energy efficiency.”

Throughout Rich’s 30-plus year career, he has primarily designed and implemented efficiency and renewable programs. He has played an integral role in reviewing detailed evaluation plans including sample design, participant selection, impact and process survey design and implementation, realization rate and Net-To-Gross analyses, and overall evaluation reporting. Rich has extensive experience developing engineering estimates, measurement and verification, and computer modeling and simulation for numerous energy efficiency and renewable projects and programs. In addition, he is well practiced at using a combination of methods to develop technical potential estimates, including engineering and economic estimation techniques, using actual data monitoring results, computer simulations, and combinations of all four.

Rich has kept up to date with emerging technologies and cutting edge program delivery and evaluation methods through active participation in many industry groups including ASHRAE, AESP, IEPEC, ACEEE, MEEA and others.
